The Project SYNCERE Middle School Summer STEM Camp was designed for students who have a sincere interest in learning how to apply math and science skills to solve “real-world” problems. It was created to give students the opportunity to engage in engineering topics and to better prepare them for pursuing STEM-related careers.
Students spend each day learning how to apply math and science concepts by completing various engineering projects. There are six (6) separate sessions, each lasting one week. Each session will incorporate a different engineering project, with the intent to expose students to the various areas of concentration in engineering and provide them an enhanced set of skills that will prepare them for the 21st century.
Offering an educational and interactive summer program for middle school students is just one of the steps Project SYNCERE is taking to fulfill its mission of developing young minds. By focusing our services on middle school students, it is our hope that participants learn the importance and benefits of higher education and STEM careers, to become the next generation of leaders, innovators, and engineers.
